“ The Last Train ” – may have gone –

I’d bought in too

A youth’s fallacy,

Ye want find true

Save failed to see,

Fate shan’t renew

A life forever be,

Tho we continue

Frivolously free,

To ponder pursue

And endlessly roam,

Tho state of askew

Too far from home,

Long past ye renew

Will find one alone,

When the last train

Now may have gone!

“ Of A Horse ” ~ in the rain ~

I ponder the lot

Of a horse,

Who has caught

Endless days

In the rain,

How he must feel

To suffer its bane,

As he ingests grass

In meadows too wet,

That verges morass

Nature chose beset,

On pasture he links

To life giving fests,

While hunger persists

Thus imaged bethinks

In this life he submits,

Fails to be in the pink!

“ A Memorable Stay ” ~ shades of an instant ~

You’ll find a bend

In the road ahead,

Should you intend

Muse in its stead,

Thus so to ponder

If you have stock,

Suffice grants a stay

Affords a fading clock,

Extends reach yonder…

If fate finds lend

This road gives way,

To live beyond

Prescribed advent,

Thinks worth amend

To this found journey,

Held a memorable stay

Though an hour or a day,

Portend shades of an instant!

“ Obesity ” ~ a corpulent world ~

I can but wonder,

How so composed

Without concern,

Fate should impose

Thus so to suffer,

Man failed put term

To obesity’s torture,

And so I ponder

This hapless burden,

Lived with adversity

In a corpulent world,

Where we offer but pity

Alas to a bleak obesity!
