“ Fixing Now ” ~ to look at what I see ~

I’ve looked back

At my surrounds,

And growing years

Hence to feel bound,

Need look again

As seems back then,

I’ve thin account

Of beauty all about

As though allure

Had been left out,

Thru failed record

On matters worth

Meant to absorb,

Yet angst insists

Ne’er be too late,

Want fixing now

To look at what I see…

Who could have known best

What beauty life held see,

Without we knew thus to invest,

That made us look at what we see!

                                                                               ode to the in-depth beauty

                                                                                                of natures creativity!

“ Looking ” ~ for serenity ~

Looking

For reasons,

Not to suppose,

That by and by

I’ll not dispose,

For me to abide

As I want compose…

Looking

At thoughts,

That questions

The soul,

Shadowed in doubt

Yet passing for whole,

When worth I gave

May have dried out,

Hence less than brave

I’ve agonized about,

A premature bide

In fates grave reside…

Looking

To find serenity,

That shan’t confine,

To narrowed time!

“ Getting There ” ~ not when, but how ~

There was a time,

Getting there then,

Be an adventure

Held half the fun,

For easy ‘twas when

Deemed be secure,

With far less care

That now pretends,

Hold standard fare…

Getting there then

Said long ago now,

Offered a man

Its traveler’s best,

Be carriage or scow,

Save else on foot

Was all it took,

When journey held,

Not when, but how!

                                                  ode to travelers, suffering

                                                                  security tribulations!

“ That Cat ” ~ was Genghis then ~

The life & times

Of Genghis then…

He’d leap so high

To chase what flies,

Till one day found

What caught his eye,

Far from the edge

Would find him plunge

Four stories down,

Below his spying ledge…

Genghis that cat

Wouldst then survive,

But three more days

From fatal dive,

Sad to compile

Eleven months

Of his nine lives,

Hunting what flies

Alas that cat would leap

No more, nor jump or jive,

Through eight more lives!

                                                                     an old debt I owed,

ergo ode to Genghis, Kallista’s twin,

                                                           and short time family member

“ A Fox ” ~ in a box ~

Alas poor fox

Tho fast enough

Risks be caught,

But due to hunger

Has need wander,

Yet ever deeper

Finds but danger,

Where soon fox

Suffers a trap,

Then sent in a box

To parade as a hat,

Or  a fox coat done so,

Just to tease la Bardot!

                                                            ode to Brigitte Bardot…

I am a supporter of all ‘animal life protection’ wild and tamed,

as well as the privileged owner of two Maine Coon cats!

I am also presently under treatment for my black humour illness…
