“ The Innocent ” ~ till time so states ~

A fleeting gift

While unaware,

The innocent

Evolves impaired,

As impotence

Offers till then,

Brief liberty

One lives in bliss

Of ignorance,

To adolescence

When time states,

Life’s baggage

So accumulates,

Thus having felt

The telling kiss

Of omnipotence,

Obliterates recalls

Of innocence,

Made destined to be lost!

“ The Death Of Youth ” ~ an ineluctable demise ~

The death of youth

Be not easy

To grasp as truth,

Destined must

Be so replaced,

Rendering thus

An altered state,

Though dispiriting

As youth’s fate,

Means be alive

If not beyond,

Ineluctable demise…

Hence youth’s adjust

To deal with age

Be hardly just,

Made so compose

With dwindling days,

When point but reached

Life’s ordained way,

Be yet blurred concern,

To grasp the death of youth!

“ Solitude ” ~ of discerning attitude ~

A singular solitude

Having solo latitude

Of empirical hermiting,

Seeking that reclusion

From dubious vicissitude,

With inherent aptitude

Tells of yesterday

Ignoring deliberately

Much of times way,

In indulgent sociability

Held be but child’s play,

Of post adolescent curiosity

Disadvantaging possibilities,

Of vital vigour, and vivacity

Crossing into adult’s hood,

That may well invite solitude

Of a more discerning attitude!

“ Reflections ” ~ in a changing eye ~

I still see clearly

The laughter

In her eyes,

Oft times

Meant but to hide

The anguish

Felt inside,

Or hold back

A mother’s tears

When in its stead

A warm embrace

Would take the place…

The while unknown

Her sheep said black,

Set to make tracks

Upon a world untried,

He’d soon discern

Life’s perilous facts,

Bids not an easy ride…

When he awakens

To look back

On years ago,

The lines of colour

Have so blurred,

He barely sees

The faded image,

For what he’d lived,

Be but reflections

Left in a changing eye,

Time now finds to obscure!

” To Reinvent ” ~ one more time ~

Life tends imply

It be no longer,

Than a wink

Or a wave goodbye,

So reach to think

Of years lucent,

As time wears thin

And soon be spent,

When soul therein

Suggest ones done

From life now spun,

Hence without fuss

Foster what ye must

For one more time,

Thus so to reinvent!

“ What Chance ” ~ for life ahead ~

The die was cast

We’d live a time

But could not last,

In this world stead

We’d pushed so fast

For life ahead,

That might’ve been

What so misled,

We’d end beyond

The too far past,

To fix the wrongs

Of what we’d left,

Thus so chose blind

And visionless,

To what man blurred,

As legacy of cries unheard,

For that of a dead grey world!

                                                                             ode to man’s final legacy

“ Now You’re Here ” ~ too soon you’re gone ~

Now you’re here,

Tho far too soon

You’re gone,

Leaving no reason

To the surrounds,

Save suggest year

Had but one season

Rather unclear,

Seen fulltime grey

With baleful demons,

No longer able

Kept at bay,

And so fate chose

You disappear,

To not extend

You suffer appear,

Another morrow’s day!

“ My World ” ~ in retrospect ~

What will be left

In retrospect,

Held be my world

Of living things,

Unenviable at best,

Since we allowed

To risk their nest,

Piloted by men

Of gargantuan rapacity,

Apathetic to amend…

Thus for unwary child

Who finds not heed,

How will he survive

Man’s destructive seed,

Souring the air he breathes!
