Makes Ye Think

         – that there’s a link –

Will come a time
For aging life,
Gods do decline
Find defer strife,
Tho we near blind
Musing afterlife,
A man’s assign
No minor swipe,
In his lifetime
If wise he’s not,
While so aligned
He may be fraught,
By a wizened state
That alters naught,
Thus, to find room
Far from the end,
A state of gloom
Yet sets amend,
To make ye think
Of time too soon,
That there’s a link
Where we end up,
On second thought
Holds your last sup,
Ought make ye think!

On Second Thought

– ought try again –

It might be seen
As ne’er enough,
For life has been
More than abrupt,
From lively scene
A creative disrupt,
Yet to stall its end
We’ve to interrupt,
This forever dream
Not too easily forgot,
Fixes reality it seems
To spite self-serving plot,
When deemed be rather thin
You’d lean on second thought,
Tho ye gods allude ‘tis but a whim
One wouldst entreat ought try again,
Thus, to find shed fate’s risk of grim!

Thin Skin

         – of time –

Move on,
Be but a turn,
On thin skin
Of time,
Make room
Tho you think,
You’re immune
To feelings played,
The while full moon
May find perils allayed...

You’ve a nature
To find risk,
Said to take
Like an easy kiss,
Tho life at times
Will feel amiss,
As may in season
Near one’s winter,
Allude to be reason…

Though you’ll mind
To keep your head,
For quite likely
Still good stead,
You’ve feelings
Far from dead,
Yet left behind
Still think ahead,
Tho avert play as blind
Alas for while’s stead,
Thru that thin skin of time!

A Place in Space

              – once planet earth –

Tho crave
From birth,
To grave
For worth,
Wants save
Stands earth,
In found place
Ye’re not to skirt,
Or suffer mans waste
Thus, be need of alert,
From sapient nadir tricks
Sufficiently, so as to assert,
Indifference has planet at risk
As we consume with greedy thirst,
Beyond a quotient level found gorge
A fare that we mortals will live to curse,
Hence so in ones chagrin wouldst find forge
If but to hide a treasure inside a uniting verse,
That shall so curb such intent of a desolate grim,
Whilst ye gods fix a time for sidestepping a grave
To culminate pleasures, tho soupçon of delectable sins!

La Cordonnière

         – cette grande pointure –

Depuis toujours,
En constant tourbillons
Toutefois s’élevant,
Comme il semble
Probablement,
Une mise en scène
Giratoire de mouvement,
À ce jour même
Que la cordonnière,
Vision insolite
Défiait les affaire,
À jamais la Du Sault
Telle Marie-Victoire,
Modèle la chaussure
Cependant sans emprunt,
Avec points de couture
Vous ferait convoiter,
Et mènerait à la botte
La vraie forme ajustée,
Sans faire de litote,
Pour les calcéophiles
De la cordonnière,
Cette grande pointure!

La Cordonnière

           – a lady cobbler –

We see a world
From eons ago,
In constant whirl
Yet find to grow,
Thus, as it seems
Be predictable so,
By gyrate scheme
Of things, to know,
Sets image in scene
As la cordonnnière,
Ne’er yet been seen
To pit trade affairs,
As Marie-Victoire
Ever so la DuSault,
Would cobble shoes
Hence if but borrow,
Tho afar astute stitch
You’d aspire so choose,
Her grand boots will admit
Should assure ye’d commend,
True to form did attend so to fit
As a lady cobbler shoemaker’s end!

*A shoemaker’s end, is a length of thread pointed with a bristle, a tool of the actual maker of footwear...

Inspired by Marie-Victoire DuSault (1845-1908), mother of Oscar and Marius Dufresne, is the source of fortune of the Dufresne family. The Moment

– but a second be –

Ye learn forever
Be but a second,
Tho endeavour
To find extend,
Be the moment
We fix pretend,
In prolong time
Albeit beckons,
To expand clock
Ye gods do lend,
We reckon mock
As would eternal,
Beyond instant
Of kept normal,
As said forever
Held in thought,
Fate opts clever
Set close to lost,
Blink of an eye
Nay to be found,
One day or other
For ye’d be gone,
After the moment
Ne’er meant long,
Those waning days
Fixate a mind to see,
Of set persistent way
Has but the moment be!
