The Moment

– but a second be –

Ye learn forever
Be but a second,
Tho endeavour
To find extend,
Be the moment
We fix pretend,
In prolong time
Albeit beckons,
To expand clock
Ye gods do lend,
We reckon mock
As would eternal,
Beyond instant
Of kept normal,
As said forever
Held in thought,
Fate opts clever
Set close to lost,
Blink of an eye
Nay to be found,
One day or other
For ye’d be gone,
After the moment
Ne’er meant long,
Those waning days
Fixate a mind to see,
Of set persistent way
Has but the moment be!

My Valentine

My Valentine

           – be forever and a day –

Of that valentine
I ought to write,
Holds all the lines
I thought be right,
And of many times
Thru days or night,
Be of a love to find
Ye sought it might,
In every way of love
Holds yours and mine,
The many years above
To validate my valentine,
Would find its way to stay
The while fate chose in time,
And ever so beyond life's play
Thus, to validate my valentine,
Hence find be forever and a day!

forever, the love of my life…

Autumn Leave – on a shivery eve –

Listen to audio

Autumn Leaves

– on a shivery eve –

As autumn leaves,
Shadows fall
On a shivery eve,
While mind recalls
Obscuring shades,
I’m made to feel
While vista fades,
A summer’s peal
Nature betrays,
Once sun filled days…
Thus autumn leaves
My soul behind,
A summer hostage
Of plead declined
To keep alive
Fair weather skies,
And butterflies …
Soon winter’s blast
Will cast a haze,
To chase the last
Of autumn days,
And scattered leaves
When Frost said Jack,
Will come awake
In a world near grey,
To soon blustery wakes…
Tho I’d turn back
Fall season’s clock,
Nature chose cold
As its mortal mock,
To oblige Thanatos
Who will now wrest,
Fall season’s soul
As autumn leaves,
To soon make way
For a winter’s hold!

Just to let you know that I have been honoured by Francina of Poetry and Art, who a few days ago, published my poem ‘The Way Home’ on her post…

” The Way Home “

            – looking for the road –

I’d moved on

For reasons vague,

Like vision fades

For bygone days,

Where but a trace

Of puerile dreams,

For untried place

Fashioned a need,

That time in wait

Might so achieve,

An understanding

Not yet discovered,

Wants one explore

Afore life quenches

That thirst to roam,

Till years suggest

Look for the road,

Leads the way home!

“ Of A Horse ” ~ in the rain ~

I ponder the lot

Of a horse,

Who has caught

Endless days

In the rain,

How he must feel

To suffer its bane,

As he ingests grass

In meadows too wet,

That verges morass

Nature chose beset,

On pasture he links

To life giving fests,

While hunger persists

Thus imaged bethinks

In this life he submits,

Fails to be in the pink!

“ Dismay ” ~ best left behind ~

I’ve lived such days

But chose ignore,

Endured dismay

I so deplored,

Without want say

Holds irate enmity

One could not see,

Till be made suffer

Effort find agree,

To compensate

Seen simple way,

Before too late

Bid live carefree

Of life’s dismay,

Said be best left behind!
