A Craggy Shell

            – begs not dispel –

How can one tell
If still of need,
Man’s craggy shell
Near gone to seed,
Suggests farewell
And denies plead,
Begs not dispel
The while he lives,
May find to dwell
Where soul outlives,
Said craggy shell
Tho mayn’t forgive,
Portends bordering hell!

An Image – wants be –

An Image

– wants be –

May not as ere see
That one may find,
An image wants be
Past life fixed time,
And beyond destiny
Said annals defined,
For no matter the plea
The gods remain blind,
To fate's hold ye not flee!

A Poetic Trio – of fated time –

Listen to audio

A Mask

Will in time
Knit façade,
Like a mask
For the mind,
Blinds fate past!

Shades – of time –

Seem out of place
Fate’s shades of time,
Too soon effaced
A once upon sublime,
Find lost in waist
Humanity’s sad define,
Tho truth known
Rashly yours and mine!

Trickeries

          – adjudged end unknown –

As I recall now,
Of early dawn
The gods avow,
Scant paragon
Be held to end,
As I grow wise
Find so intend,
To forever thrive,
In minds eye norm
Be of fates trickeries,
Adjudged end unknown!

Brother

       – can you spare the time –

The while not my bide
To thus beg for a dime,
For my perishing hide
Too soon had its time,
Hence afore I’m dead
Mightn’t one not tout,
If you hadn’t yet read
I am no more about,
For ominous debate
May but allow doubt,
Afore I be deaths bate
Ought find while alive,
Can you spare the time,
A word or more tho late
To be that brother mine!

                           ode to a lost brother…

Recalling those stories
Of the great depression,
In 1929 to 1933 to WW2
Be common to the times,
Being prelude to ill ease
Found compose a poem,
Implores please, Brother
Can you spare a dime,
As the situate entreats
Thus to spare the time!

 Validating
            - an aging mind -

 From apropos
 to ye ought know,
 would that we find
 the how to slow,
 an aging mind...

 Yet far from reign
 these gods that play,
 our heads in game
 be mindless way,
 need feign shame
 from apropos,
 to ye ought know
 afore ‘tis time,
 Too soon will show!

                       A mindful raison d’être...

The Interruption – of a restless sleep –

Listen to audio

The Interruption
       - of a restless sleep -
 Mind

 Wouldst plan,
 View holds
 As theories can,
 If but an inkling
 Of purpose stands,
 To not be tinkering
 As world needs find,
 Collective peace of mind!
 Running

 Running me
 To death,
 Afore finding
 I had depth,
 Not as in seriatim
 Seeking breadth,
 But to want done
 As a living objective,
 Despite our meagre run!
 OverTime

 Then over time
 You meet death,
 Sits on the wings
 Of your breath,
 Thus never late
 Fate’s wily net,
 Finds confiscate
A bit of life you’ve left!

A Trio of Poetic Echoes…

Listen to audio

Frivolity

The commodify,

Of laisse faire

Speaks of oddity,

To find fly an affair

Taken with frivolity!

Façade

You find look

Be oppression,

Beyond brook

Of expression,

Despite its façade

Charts blindly sad!

Conscience

You are aware,

Yet knowingly

Without care,

Tho insentience

Finds admittance,

Of a conscience!

“ Those Moods ” – a state of mind –

Listen to audio

Those Moods
      - a state of mind -
At times bemused,
To find thy mood
More so confused,
As cause to brood
Wouldst too define,
As to misconstrue
A state of mind !

“ Today ” – a gift –

Listen to audio

“ Today ”

– a gift –

 I am alive
 Today,
 The gods provide
 Another day,
 Thus be a gift
 To find its way,
 As they so deemed
 That I might stay,
 Be not a dream
 For on this day,
 Again it seems
 I am alive,
 Tho by all means
 Perhaps again,
 Yet be but for today!

“ The Little Red House ” – on the corner –

Listen to audio

“ The Little Red House ”

– on the corner –

 The fairy tale picture
 Of its little red house,
 Sitting on the corner
 Sure lure for a mouse,
 Or little Jack Horner
 Ye find eating his pie,
 Holds be a reminder
 The while we walk by,
 Tho soon we be older
 Can but wonder why,
 Be the little red house
 That sits on a corner,
 Seems ever so ageless
 Lends we reminisce,
 Shoulder to shoulder
 Share memory’s bliss,
 Each day walking by
 As we pass the corner,
 Of that little red house!
