“ The Moment ” ~ an adventure ~

Predictably sure
Be an adventure,
Holds the moment
Brands life’s worth,
To render ones debt
Fated from birth,
As willingly owed
Its requital so holds,
For fixed next abode…

The while one bodes
Time could run out,
Preceding full measure
Of the moment as told,
Tho a trip said life raves
Finds too soon acquitted,
For such an adventure
Whose abode be its grave!

“ The Dark Side ” ~ of man ~

Of man we hoped
While we ignored,
The dark side
Of this being,
Thus would suffer
His betrayal,
Whilst he misused
Our naïve trust,
Hence so bestowed
He’d fail be worthy,
Held higher mortal…

Granitic he levels neath
The surface of intent,
An immoral creature
Of life form pitiable,
That but abuses
The innocent beguiled,
Fellow mortals
Who for the while
Find this being,
A peerless creature
Chosen to elect as leader,
To blindly go on trusting!

“ Dancers ” ~ inside and out ~

It seems to start,
With hint of impulse
Inside the heart,
Where links ones soul
To body’s rhythm,
When legs cajole steps
To tug at your mind,
Harmonizing in time
How bodies move
With music’s define,
And dancer groove
In and out to infuse,
Ones body and mind!

“ The Crow ” ~ that was ~

I am the crow

That was before,

Now made to go

For a last chore,

To find the place

Where I’m to lie,

As will old crows

When time to die,

The while remember

I am the crow,

Who with its caw

Be crow you saw,

Meant let you know

Hunger weren’t lore

Nor presence to ignore,

Tho now be just a crow

That is alas no more!

“ Memory Be Damned ” ~ to now but hollow find ~

Fate inflicts grief

As it vanishes memory,

Like a practiced thief

Would rape ones mind,

And so quite wretchedly

Held memory be damned

To now but hollow find,

And ne’er recall again

For wouldst chose hide,

What years made gather

All matter lived inside,

Hence leave me wonder

Where now my words do bide!

“ Disposition ” ~ in want of serene stay ~

Weighing ever so

Has me suffer choke,

With a disposition

Liken to a yoke,

Refusing to give way

While effort I restrain

A temperamental sway,

Begs I plead not in vain

That I may have a say,

In want of serene stay!
