“ While I’m Alive ” ~ teach me now ~

Teach me now

While I’m alive,

To not forget,

When I arrive

At regret’s bide,

And must endure

Spent recollect

Of someone near,

Plus fail to hear

Suffered upset,

While I now limbo

In the unclear,

Of telling ways

By one so dear

Who loved me when,

Wouldst hold until

I am no longer,

And even then!

“ Years Moreover ” ~ before the dark ~

I’ve sought living

Years moreover,

As man’s dream

Be time wanting,

Leaves me plead

Ne’er be enough,

Though I concede

Years so far lived,

Holds clearly best

Be time life gave,

Save so ascribed

A morose grave,

As destined site

Fixed be man’s fate,

Thus beg stall plight

For score or more,

Before the dark,

Becomes eternal night!

ode to friend Basile, now in eternal night…

“ What We Left Behind ” ~ remains part of us ~

What’s left behind

We may forget,

Tho some of which

With much regret,

Albeit dismissed

As mere neglect,

Persists remain

As part of us,

One suffers fret

Fate instils thus,

Till life defines

Best one be bold,

Ere to achieve

A state of mind,

To render whole

Wouldst fix to find,

Inspiring soul

Desires opine,

Worth rescue

What we left behind!

                     An ode to wishful thinking!

“ Man Shapes ” ~ extant state ~

I see man shape

His self-decline,

Tis no surprise

Wants to escape,

This baleful bind

Free of bent state

Of herculean find,

His legacy spent

Now so apprised,

Suffers implied

Thus to surmise

Intervention failed

We’ll not survive,

His egoistic whims

Shaping our extant state!

“ A Form ” ~ not the norm ~

I see a form

Rise,

Lifting upward

In disguise,

Tho not the norm

Can but surmise,

This giant butterfly

Just barely born

To suffer such a size,

Said dinosaurian wings

Be excesses I do see,

In a world now on the brim

Man’s antics caused it be!
