Rain falls

Upon my heart

When I’m about

To chance a start

At life long vacant,

Reminding me

Of love gone dark,

As memory wrests

With past regrets…

 

Save hazard be

Once folly’s own,

Holds my undoing

As time has shown,

Yet risk I’ll love

While breath I’ve still,

Though fate may will

Should then again

Rain on my heart!
