“ A Snowflake ”

            – at the bottom lies –

Holds reason wonder,

About the others

Who first arrived,

And now held under,

Tho manage to survive,

While on the surface

The more materialize,

Layer upon layer

The scale expands,

Thus be no error

They find hold hands,

Supporting each other

To bear the strain,

Makes need to shoulder

Until snowflakes turn to rain…

A snowflake

At the bottom lies,

Hence be others

That too will smother,

Yet given druthers

Reach to save those left,

Spared not of shelter

From mans foulness,

However not in vain

As natures fate egresses,

Destined suffer it’s to blame

Alas until snowflakes turn to rain!

“ The Lane ” ~ dead men stalk ~

The lane I walk

In dead man’s land,

Is one that bands

The forlorn souls

That dead men stock,

They who trudge

Hoping to find

What’s left of time,

And so survive

Their soul gone blind,

Unsure they be alive…

Thus as I walk

In this non world,

And watch in vain

The suffered pain

Those souls do feel,

Who try to taste

What once was real,

That man laid waste

With insane zeal,

Yet nil a peep

From alleged sheep

To save remains,

For they but follow

Big Brother’s lane,

Who need not walk

In dead man’s land,

Where dead men stalk!

                                                                          ode to Edgar Allan Poe

“ Growing Young ” ~ the while I age ~

As I grow young

The while I age,

My body older

Does engage,

The time it takes

To be the sum

I mean achieve

Unloading vain,

As clearer sense

I attain,

Tho fractioned be

To some extent

It does explain,

Old borders suffer

One’s being bolder,

Than growing old

The while young!
