Hades Bed

       – seen as nirvana –

Be of shame
I wish to tell,
As this being
Known well,
Will naively
Court hell,
As he looks
For a haven,
He’d be told
Was nirvana…
Yet would see
World in ashes,
Be a cause flee
Tho man made
Accepts its hell,
From putrid air
To dried up well,
Shall be his fare
For a new dwell,
Found hades bed
Did bid fare well,
Per chance its stead
While meant nirvana,
Man turned to be but hell!

This Face

     – be as tho painted –

This face you see
Be as tho painted,
Told idiosyncrasy
Disorderly related,
Still has a grandee
Fixed thus to elate,
Not au contrair be
Of a mindful trait,
But of astute being
In that erudite state
Affects as depicted,
Note ingress's place
Tho ilk’s affixed bait,
See face, as tho painted...
A face will so emerge
In life unacquainted,
Yet ‘tis discouraged
At seen underrated,
For fruit of one’s urge
Begs shan’t be wasted,
As but a dreamlike hold
Life fancied be untainted,
And that you not fail extol
This face, be as tho painted!

If Truth Be Told – how then discern –

Listen to audio

If Truth Be Told
	- how then discern -
If truth be told
Will it yet reach,
Its vision worthy
Of ether entreat,
Not bent in guile
Of vitiate deceit,
Yet who’s to say
Man didn’t teach,
The gods’ sly way
Thus so to breach,
How then discern
Of which we speak,
Thus be held truth
Or but failed preach,
Aimed credible to hold
Tho history has its doubt,
If man’s veiled truth be told!

“ Men of The Sea ” – obdurate beings –

“ Men of The Sea ”

                  – obdurate beings

On steel hull ships

In days of old,

Sail hardened men

The story told,

Of rusty hearts

And tempers short,

Whose tired grunts

Would find exhort,

Spoke fitful streams

Of words bone thin…

With guarded eyes

And gnarled limbs,

They navigate

The lonely seas,

From dust to dawn

To burn or freeze,

Despite their brawn

Will find to cower,

As Lucifer spawns

Upon their superstitions…

In life replete

With boding myths,

And nightly demons

Who so disrupt,

The tattered dreams

Said heard compose,

The damning screams

Of obdurate beings,

That be men of the sea!

“ If Truth Be Told ”~ how then discern ~

If truth be told

I will yet reach,

A vision worthy

Cosmos entreats,

Not bent chicane

Of vitiate deceit,

Yet who’s to say

Man didn’t teach,

The gods sly ways,

Thus so to breach,

How then discern

Of which I speak,

Thus be held truth

Or but failed preach,

Too credible to hold

Tho history has one doubt,

Of man’s hidden truth be told!

this poem was inspired by the poem ‘Truth’

“ The Gift Of A Day ” ~ tells of being alive ~

Yesterday

Be a kind of guide

Told of being alive…

Today

Fate made to give,

That I derive

The gift of a day,

An extended stay

Held staying alive…

Tomorrow

Will be

If I survive,

So I’ve no mind

And far less time

For such concern,

That mayn’t arrive…

Thus the morrows

I’ll choose each so,

As tho a lifetime

That I’ve yet to live !
