“ Grieving ” ~ time neglected ~

I grieve for time

Passing unseen,

Tho anxiously

I try redeem,

An absurd task

Held be a dream,

Behind the mask

That only seems,

To assuage its fear

Now less than keen,

When down the line

Reality holds clear,

That life I left behind

Actualizes many years,

Yet neglected tell my mind

There be life beyond the tears,

For obtusely squandered designs

That has me grieving, now ill timed!

“ The Façade ” ~ of a smile ~

He wears a smile

Save no surprise,

If but the while

He means to hide,

His shaded guile

Woefully apprised,

In a conjured façade…

He has known wile

In angst of sorrow,

More than enough

To find not borrow,

He’d known tears

Gathered for years

Beyond subsides,

Rendered invasive

To the outer side,

Of harbouring mazes…

Thus the façade

Blurred in guises,

Holds few surprises

Be joy or sadness

That smiles disguise,

Alas but for appearance!

“ A Road ” ~ that has a home ~

I’ve roamed

Far beyond Rome,

And in between

Sites that did mean

Recall one day,

What must be seen

To find their way

In minds held keen,

That musings stay

To hold the memory

Of insistent places,

Where one still hears

Echoes of the faceless,

In a world of tears

Where life soon passes,

With utter indifference

To their relentless fears…

The while I roam

Roads I have known,

Yet find them looking

For a road that has a home!

“ From Tears ” ~ of a dolour soul ~

I’ll tell you a story

More of a tale,

May leave you sorry

For it be on a scale

Of  sentient passage,

That can but come

From tears

Of a dolour soul,

Where one now finds

More than do cheers

In  life worn  time…

‘Tis a story of old

That reaches the soul

As awareness grows,

In life’s exchange

Of pleasure for pain,

Coming too fast

To instantly grasp,

While latter takes reign,

Tho the impact will pass

Its perception may not,

For but memory  lends

You’ll endure its attend,

What life  brings to the end!                                        a reflection
