“ The Façade ” ~ of a smile ~

He wears a smile

Save no surprise,

If but the while

He means to hide,

His shaded guile

Woefully apprised,

In a conjured façade…

He has known wile

In angst of sorrow,

More than enough

To find not borrow,

He’d known tears

Gathered for years

Beyond subsides,

Rendered invasive

To the outer side,

Of harbouring mazes…

Thus the façade

Blurred in guises,

Holds few surprises

Be joy or sadness

That smiles disguise,

Alas but for appearance!

“ Man Shapes ” ~ extant state ~

I see man shape

His self-decline,

Tis no surprise

Wants to escape,

This baleful bind

Free of bent state

Of herculean find,

His legacy spent

Now so apprised,

Suffers implied

Thus to surmise

Intervention failed

We’ll not survive,

His egoistic whims

Shaping our extant state!

“ Who You See ” ~ may not still be ~

The who you see

May not still be

The monolith

You surmised,

And begs perceive

The elapsed time

Ought not surprise,

That who you see

Be but an outer shell

Etched so by time,

Wouldst bare a man

Of plus score years

You thus now see,

Yet seems to hide

A real me inside,

The while who I am

Matters not a damn

Who I was then,

Should mirror now

The who you find to see!
