Man’s Façade

– fore to hind –

Persistent mind
On the façade,
Of fore to hind
No pasquinade,
Wouldst define
Nor satire’s aid,
Thus, so in time
Will play a game,
Not feigning blind
Ne’er ye find same,
To suffer a like mind
Nigh as fixated to change,
Tho be born in man’s façade!

                 Ode to they of so-called,
                                nonconformist persuasion...

“ We The Homeless ”

       – not by choice – revisited

It’s not by choice,

We’ve but the street

For our new host,

In this life gone bleak

It be thus a last resort,

Begs we’d not seek

Wanting as consort,

Held so to speak

Apt be a gritty ghost,

Led we live incomplete

Having lost one’s voice,

Mindful of our fate

Now being without choice,

In a discombobulated state

That be life on the street,

The while this last resort

Be until we are too weak,

To drag our bones to port

In a life of empty options,

That be for we the homeless,

Held fixed to muted notions

Reduced we be to nameless,

Drifting in crowded sad seclusion

We’ve to live as shadows on the street…

Suffer alas said we the homeless

In a populous fashioned by human apathy,

Offered in overwhelming abundance

To a growing number of ignored failed voices…

We the homeless, not by choice!

” The Crow “

– in the dead of night –

I am the crow

In a grave

Dark world,

A soul in plight

Black as the night,

Forced to live

This endless flight,

Looking for a path

To the freedom I seek,

As anxiety nears

This aging cryptique,

Who’ll suffer hell

Or fly with the devil

For a ray of light,

That shows a way clear

For I the crow,

To end one’s journeys

In the dead of night!

“ Journeying ” ~ toward life whole ~

It has been told,

A man’s journey

Means to unfold,

From rather hazy

To a life whole,

With limits

Reaching bold,

When fate mandates

Man must have soul,

To suffer restless roads

And redeem his quondam hold,

For an ever unpredictable journey

We’ve to so effort toward life whole!

“ I Am The Colour ” ~ of human disorder ~

I am the colour

Of human disorder,

That shades the stay

Of man made suffer,

While held at bay

Be cause of such pallor,

In ominous way

With spurious cover,

Feigning fair play

To thus be so coloured,

With doubtful recover

For fated mankind,

Bears not colour’s assign!

“ Dismay ” ~ best left behind ~

I’ve lived such days

But chose ignore,

Endured dismay

I so deplored,

Without want say

Holds irate enmity

One could not see,

Till be made suffer

Effort find agree,

To compensate

Seen simple way,

Before too late

Bid live carefree

Of life’s dismay,

Said be best left behind!

“ Hiding ”~ inside time ~

We chose hiding

Thus not to see,

Days accumulate

In fulgent degree,

Beg to decelerate

Its senescence art,

For to compensate

By young at heart,

Would inside time

Only suffer to hide,

From fading mind

We allege ‘tis alive,

In its state of decline!

“ Teach Me How ” ~ to do without ~

The while I live,

Teach me how

To do without,

If life dictates

Blind be my fate,

Ne’er to see you

One more time…

Teach me how

To do without,

If destined so

To suffer deaf

And cannot hear

Tho you be near…

Teach me now

To do without,

Afore I reach

State of forget,

Thus to endure

Held grieved regret,

Thru precious days

I might live yet

So teach me how,

I am to do without!

“ Errant Knight ” ~ an untimely spirit ~

Once errant knight
I journeyed bold
To the edge of life,
An untimely spirit
On a world in plight
Now in endless dark,
With anxious mind
Renders so eager
To leave behind,
Seen odious times
Wants ne’er more suffer,
These ominous flights
They’ve made of our world!

“ The Dark Side ” ~ of man ~

Of man we hoped
While we ignored,
The dark side
Of this being,
Thus would suffer
His betrayal,
Whilst he misused
Our naïve trust,
Hence so bestowed
He’d fail be worthy,
Held higher mortal…

Granitic he levels neath
The surface of intent,
An immoral creature
Of life form pitiable,
That but abuses
The innocent beguiled,
Fellow mortals
Who for the while
Find this being,
A peerless creature
Chosen to elect as leader,
To blindly go on trusting!
