Another Face

           – holds persistent

Wouldst expect live
From child unclad,
To babbles’ demise
Beyond level of sad,
Save coherent wise
Who appear to add,
Purpose comprised
Of a raison d’être,
Afore another face
Need not be a fête,
In spell given hand
Occupies life space,
Thus, living the race,
That says you’re alive
Best before final date,
Ye so drag to survive
Find delay grave fate,
May not end so brave
When be made to face,
Despite eke of last steps
You will do so with grace,
The while holds persistent
Be too soon for another face!

Butterflies

– by the bye

Not incidental
We butterflies,
Ever so gentle
Yet by the bye,
As ornamental
To human eye,
Will so trample
Reasoning why,
Be florae ample
Ye soon realize,
Holds butterfly
Reach to offer life,
Or graces the sky
As fitfully dancing,
Be fulfilling his bye
The while ambling by!

Wanderer Above the Sea by David Friedrich

A Man

– called Marc –

He’d not stay long,
In life’s short run
Be too soon gone,
As if one shunned
To an early dawn,
From a place won
In a shortish song,
He as a brother be
Far too young gone,
Gods fixed not see,
As life span of a pawn
Alas was short-lived run
Thus, alike an early dawn!
                   Might you have parted
                               without telling your friend,
dear Marc, until it was too late…?

of Marc Tetreault, the rarest of dear friends.

PS: If there should be an afterlife or such a thing as a next life,
Marc is the one true friend I would seek to befriend again.

Now but afternoon
In lifetime destiny,
Be forever too soon
For morrow apathy,
Ye’d aspire for room
To ignore life’s brevity,
Thus minimize its gloom

If ne’er ye find
An image to see,
In fact ‘tis of ye
As short set time,
Despite of a plea
For annals define,
Be vacant you see
Of destined life be!
Imagining
     - persona said whole -

Risks find exterior
Not imagining be,
A creation inferior
Albeit melds just,
Held modestly bold
May not be an image
Of persona said whole!

In one’s reflection
A mirrored façade,
Of fixed impression
Has one soon wonder,
What he will envisage
Of neoteric squander,
Thru lifetime’s ravages
Of reality faced imaging!

“ A Morrow ”

                – too soon –

Now but afternoon

In a lifetime destiny,

Whenever too soon

A morrow’s apathy,

Be angling the room

Ignoring life’s brevity,

Indifferent to gloom

Invading one’s sanity!

“ Another Yesterday ” ~ too soon ~

Ah yesterday,

You’re there

Once more

Too soon,

Before the day

Has barely gone,

The while I want

For just a bit

To carry on,

Before day’s end,

Tho I should fuss

To turn the clock

It pays no mind

My want expend,

That I might find

How best to give,

A full share’s worth,

Of I’ve to live

And well before

I’m made to taste,

Another yesterday!
