I’ve journeyed
Thru a life
Of many paths,
But until now
Had marginalized
Times illusive avow
In future said to last,
That moves at speed
To ever looming past,
As memory goes soft
Aiming to exploit alas,
Where finds one lost
In the fixed unknown,
Of a trip that twists
Over downward
Tilting bend,
Where bedim of elation
Be the road’s end,
In a different journey
Started from within,
Save be a singular voyage
Meant to set free of chagrin,
The while making ones amends!
A little girl tender,
For a short while
A singular child,
Gentle yet bold,
Till closing on old
Destines to unfold…
Ah little girl mine
For so little time,
How you so grow
Too fast to follow,
Harder to mind
You’ve need of cover
To suffer words hollow,
The while discover
A rather hard swallow,
From all who ill choose
Find need to express,
Their sorry dim views…
Alas till the day
Humans so face,
Need find the way
To wholly embrace,
Child whose fate
Be a tiny step late,
But stir our desire
For little girl child,
Whose but few words
Finds love that inspires!
You’re there
At a place
Said singular,
Once a figment
Of mind’s eye,
Implied nous
Said life past
Was overdrive
In make believe,
But now its real
Enough to feel,
The real meaning
Of being alive!
