The While

– ye be around –

Yet of no say
Best to seek,
A kindly day
Evades bleak,
For the while
Life has ye be,
In need of smile
To maybe see,
If not to hear
Hint of sound,
Suggests know
Won’t confound,
With not to show
Nor will respond,
Save to oneself,
As for the while
Be good or bad,
Without beguile
That ye’ve found,
Will go the mile
Or way around,
In the time it takes
While above ground,
For a life’s short state,
Man termed, the while!

A Face

  • – in morrow’s space –
Tho near impossible to climb
Finding the image of her face,
That meant will form in time
A face, be from an awry place,
Has thus but aging to define
To hold in morrow’s space,
For a visage fixed sublime
Be set as tho a part effaced,
In a façade in need to find
Be of memory ye do prize,
With its recall of total bind
Thus, so more than surmised,
From a failed god’s ambuscade
Who’d long forgotten to be wise,
Till such shenanigans he displayed,
To a face in morrows’ space implied
Yet not his play, tho but of nature’s say!
                    Imaging mans’ unconsciousness toward reality...

I Awake

I Awake

– should fate so will –

That I awake
Another day,
To live a fate
With little say,
Save to amend
My errant way,
Before the end
Thus to renew,
As to contend
Said life anew,
The while fend
As destine wills,
But a scant stay…

Time tallies still
Tho be few days,
For failing gods
Now dated skills,
Tend fall behind
Too aged to fulfil,
In garbled minds
Verge on placate,
Yet decreed still
Our waning state,
Hence so fate's will!

Butterflies

– fluttering bye –

A butterfly
Searching
Blossoms,
Pursuing
The mote
To provide,
Held florae
Need of alive
Ye find dote,
On their array
Hence to adorn
Tho its short stay,
Be of iffy longevity
Not butterfly’s say,
Dancing in brevity…

Pushed by currents
He floats consciously
On breezes apparent,
While ever so mindful
Found be lepidoptera,
With beauty’s warrant
Would remain pleasing,
Thru a short summer fly
Has butterflies trapezing,
All the while fluttering bye!
Ode to butterflies, that they maybe forever…

If Truth Be Told – how then discern –

Listen to audio

If Truth Be Told
	- how then discern -
If truth be told
Will it yet reach,
Its vision worthy
Of ether entreat,
Not bent in guile
Of vitiate deceit,
Yet who’s to say
Man didn’t teach,
The gods’ sly way
Thus so to breach,
How then discern
Of which we speak,
Thus be held truth
Or but failed preach,
Aimed credible to hold
Tho history has its doubt,
If man’s veiled truth be told!

“ When Memory Fails ”

                  – held in time will –

When memory fails

As held in time will,

You’ll find it pales

Said ‘tis all but still,

Tho we’ll so falter

Must find to bide,

In kindly shelter

Until subsides,

Its weary burden

As one tries hide,

Ways it’ll worsen

In destined slide,

Of a dying mind

Be receding use,

Far beyond find

Now so abstruse,

While shy of time

As recall hides,

In its seclusion

Tho one is to abide,

When memory fails

In its retched mental prison,

Time wants tell to say goodbye!

ode to victims of failed memory…

“ The Book ”

         – of blank pages –

A book in search

Of giving birth,

To pages blank,

Free of dearth

Hopes but record,

View so composed

Of words in accord,

To author predisposed

Might ease the way,

That dares initiate

A scribe’s want say,

Without hesitate

When he finds a play,

Empty of intimidate

Upon a virgin page,

The while a book awaits

Words chosen to breathe life,

To the uninhabited posed state

Held be the book, of blank pages!

“ The Man ”

       – of two glasses –

He sits to face

Across the table,

An empty space

Tho hardly able,

From time ago

The chair since bare,

Remains aglow,

To still reflect

The face he loved,

There upon the glass

Of a pale rosé…

Each forlorn day

In vain he stares,

With musing’s say

One can near feel

Her presence there,

His mind will trace

Upon that empty chair,

A memory of her face

That will not part

That special place,

Fixed in his heart…

Alas the man

Said of two glasses,

Sits so to face

As time so passes,

That empty space

He for a moment dwells,

On a memory only he can tell!
