“ If Only ” – ‘twas wishful thinking –

DSCN6839  Listen to audio

If only

‘Twas wishful thinking,

Of probable reality

Evidenced an inkling,

Mightn’t so endorse

That of every wish,

Be credible of course

Save the odd amiss,

Held dreamers

Of likely myths,

Be dubious design

Confounded as a gift,

Questions waste of time…

If only

Suffered wanting,

Said ‘twas wishful thinking

Be thus understood,

One may not be bidding

For mind games’ likelihood!

“ Silence ” – for gratuitous reason –

Silence video picture IMG_3271 copy  Listen to audio

“ Silence ”

                – for gratuitous reason –

Why must I bide

To hear but sounds

Of silence,

At times a virtue

Now but a chide,

Thus weary I be

Ever waiting

On verbosity,

That might reflect

A hint of life…

Might I propose

In shades betwixt,

Effort compose

To so thus fix,

The emptiness

Of inert silence,

And the tedium

Of verbose prolix…

A word or more

I so implore

Even neath

The aural norm,

Albeit to tease

In lieu of please,

To save from silence

Held for gratuitous reason!

“ Apostrophizing ” ~ to form a connection ~

We’re held believe,

Life offers beings

A state perceived,

As an apostrophe

Of human needs,

Held best allayed

By transient bond,

Save best ignored

Till they abscond,

Supernumeraries

Of guile abound,

With ignobility

Of such ineptness,

As to apostrophizing

To form a connection,

Holds short imagining

Word worth excogitation!

“ Benignity ” ~ be friend fair ~

Do be friend fair

Who’ll ne’er stray,

As to be ever there

Holds mean to stay,

Thru thick n thin

Wouldst not betray,

Or cause chagrin

Hence compensate,

Be oblivious to sin

The while meditate,

Sadly none to rescind

Till ye find situate,

Benignity therein

A truly bested state,

In varied compatibility

Humanistically paired,

Despite some dullards take,

Save who seeks be friend fair!

“ Survival ” ~ no time for sorrow ~

The day of the hunt

Be the squeal of a seal,

Who’ll reach for a hand

Of a starved dying man,

With no choice to save

Or let live with a wave,

That another day gives

Either creature to live,

With no time for sorrow

Nor sealer to borrow,

Holds he must stride

To hunt many hides

Or shan’t morrow survive,

Nor halt downward slide

Of living the narrows,

For yesterday’s bread

And a roof overhead,

Man has no guarantee

From fated seal barrow,

Nor survival ahead

Tho finds his way back,

Before all freezes over

And frost has him dead!
