Finding Shadows

– in enduring place –

Oughtn’t I race
To held avers,
Finding shadows
Of a ready favour,
In enduring place
Where gratify be,
Begs shan’t erase
Alacrity’s glee,
Non inimical state
Yet has one flee,
As to rid of gate
And needless plea,
Of insensible fate
Fails docile agree,
In shades of kind
See alleges replete,
To feed a sane mind…

Hence on this day
The sun is strong,
I’ll find the way
To will one gone,
Ye may perceive
Be shadows found,
That gods conceive
There I am bound,
With austere mind
Want a sound bond,
Ill-fated so resigned!

                                      ode to lost brothers…

“ If Memory Fails ”

            – guide me to a shelter –

Now that you’re here

Will you see I not falter,

As in time I yet fear

Fate chose not to alter,

Thence I might know

As age won’t be kinder,

And if memory fails

Thus with love you offer,

I pray the gods avail

Find you to be there

To guide me to a shelter…

Now that you’re near

A joy you be each day,

Tho I no longer hear

An easy voice at play,

Be yours ever so dear

Now fading far away,

Near muted to my ear

Save recall ere so clear,

Retention can but stay

Tho memory fades away…

Alas serenity assured

The while you be there,

With music you so speak,

There is sanity you bring

That has my world sing,

And does but so relieve

That foreboding cling,

For you are to be here

A prompt ever so clear

Keeping mind yet sane,

The while if memory fails

Life destined be our bane,

Tho your love will still remain!

ode to my mother and father…

“ Memory ” ~ of a memory ~

Memory, ah memory

Now cause for woes,

Has turned tormentor

And wretched close,

Alludes suffers bleak

This recall once bold,

As mentor grows weak

While in vain I yet seek

Tho memory goes cold…

Now who’ll replace

This recollect trace,

That I may survive

The far reaching void,

And reason with time

Holds sane my mind,

Though the memory

Of memory once mine,

May well ever be gone!

“ The Lane ” ~ dead men stalk ~

The lane I walk

In dead man’s land,

Is one that bands

The forlorn souls

That dead men stock,

They who trudge

Hoping to find

What’s left of time,

And so survive

Their soul gone blind,

Unsure they be alive…

Thus as I walk

In this non world,

And watch in vain

The suffered pain

Those souls do feel,

Who try to taste

What once was real,

That man laid waste

With insane zeal,

Yet nil a peep

From alleged sheep

To save remains,

For they but follow

Big Brother’s lane,

Who need not walk

In dead man’s land,

Where dead men stalk!
