“ To Start Again ” ~ in step ~

To start again

Now once in step,

Right from the crib,

What we did live,

Should risk we cart

Our puerile baggage,

Fixed to the heart

Like tattoo marks

Will trace the scars

Of naive follies,

When careless days

Meant living lies

That eased the way,

To so one day

Give of the spin

Said layers a mind

Of ventures worth

Might grow us wise,

In step this time

Without reprise,

To start again!

“ In Echo’s Reach ” ~ I can yet hear ~

I can yet hear

In echo’s reach,

A lingering sound

Of surging waves,

Resounds in each

A plea begs save,

Tho well beyond

Risk may be found,

To now gain near

This time around,

That one may hear

Man anguished cry,

Wants but survive!

“ Perchance ” ~ magnanimous ~

In an effort

To be bold

I may’ve lost

The whole,

For now but feel

The cold,

And suddenly

I cogitate on old,

As tho too soon

Death perchance

Is trying to take hold…

Whilst we’ve to pay

Life’s wage to play,

Albeit times more

Than bargained for

The risk we take,

That fate may grant,

To suffer fools

Or bold lost souls,

If memory serves

Said fate per se

Magnanimous,

Be not its chosen way!

“ Thin Skin ” ~ of time ~

Move on

It’s but one turn,

In your thin skin

Of time,

Make room

Tho you may think

You are immune,

With feelings young,

Enough to change

With each full moon…

Your nature

To take risk

Back then be fine,

When a near miss

Be akin to easy kiss,

Save but life now

Holds near the winter

Of your seasons,

Calls for reason…

So think ahead

The while you find

To keep your head,

For quite  likely

You’ve feelings

Of good stead,

Those left behind

Yet far from dead,

Though well ahead,

Of held thin skin of time!
