“ Yesteryears ” ~ shades of foggy grey ~

The image alters

To blur the scene

I effort reminisce,

Yet barely feel

Its familiar kiss,

Brush the mind

That finds to hear,

A voice given life

To what appears

Be now unclear,

Yet distinct enough

To witness thus,

Time’s cruel crags

Sculpt its regress,

Sufficient to recall

Days no longer near,

I’d so held dear,

While time alas chose

I’m to witness its decay,

Turn shades of foggy grey,

Where archives yesteryears!

“ An Only Kiss ” ~ more than a wish ~

One’s likely dream

Be of an only kiss,

Might lead to more

Than but a wish

Of might’ve been,

Should one persist,

To acquiesce

Would deem suggest,

Afar but a triste geste…

Wouldst not a kiss

Submit to so insist,

All in the spirit

Of impulse,

To later reminisce

Of its wondrous bliss,

Thus not deprive

A promise to survive,

More than an only kiss!
