“ A Feeling ” ~ of neglect ~

Dormant feelings

Hold affair done,

Lacking measure

Bare rate begun,

That be a feeling

Seized of neglect,

Alas demeaning

Brings one regret,

The while lingers

In vain retrospect,

Hence a prisoner

Who can but wilt,

Without ye detect

The emotional tilt,

Of allegoric affect

Forced so to endure,

With a feeling of guilt!

“ Life’s Time ” ~ left behind ~

In my life past,

I may have left

Some time pass,

Thus feel bereft

So precious be,

Its loss apes theft

Be sad discovery,

 One shan’t forget

Its careless waste,

Fills me with regret

For time left behind,

Thru foolish neglect

With risk ne’er find,

Be days edged lost

Has me resigned,

Demons tilt recall

Beg gives attention,

Save be offer small

Could ere well lead,

To one recovering all

With ostensible speed,

For it’s ne’er too late

To find time left behind!

“ While I Live ” ~ to not forget ~

The while I live,

Help me now

To not forget,

Afore I reach

I’m not to feel

Being near,

Or ever more

Able to hear

A voice so dear,

Nor taste again

The love of you,

The while I muse

Be cause regret,

Precious days

I might neglect,

To tell of ways

I loved you then,

The while I lived

This side of when,

Till I should reach

That quite place!
