“ In Time ” ~ a timeless pit ~

Where do I find,
Hopeful in time,
That gentle face
Lost to my mind,
Forces me look
In wonted place,
Tho I now dread
Be uncaring gods
Of darkness spent,
Who feed in hell
Their fickle bent,
Want but inflict
Disordered spells
Held pitiless fit,
Would demean fate
Of ones mental state,
Living in a timeless pit!

“ In the Lurch ” ~ sitting on a perch ~

They’ve left us

In the lurch,

Sitting on a perch

Lost and unaware

We who were alert,

Once of human trait

Fashioned so to care,

Said analogous of  gait

Now beings in despair

On this planet earth,

When man paid a visit

He bled it dry of worth,

Utterly indifferent

Of once fertile play,

A likened spent search

Holds sanity in wait,

While sitting on a perch!

                                                        a consequence of indifference

“ The Innocent ” ~ till time so states ~

A fleeting gift

While unaware,

The innocent

Evolves impaired,

As impotence

Offers till then,

Brief liberty

One lives in bliss

Of ignorance,

To adolescence

When time states,

Life’s baggage

So accumulates,

Thus having felt

The telling kiss

Of omnipotence,

Obliterates recalls

Of innocence,

Made destined to be lost!

“ Lingering Image ” ~ a heaven I’d imagined ~

In my thoughts

She’s been,

So very long

I can almost

Feel her shadow….

I can still hear

And almost see

Her lips caress,

The words

She chose to leave

Next to my heart…

Yet somehow I knew

I’d lost her though

We shared a rainbow,

Tho not to persist

I might’ve missed

A part of life,

Meant live a dream

With one I’d hoped

Might well remain,

In heaven I’d imagined!
