Another Face

           – holds persistent

Wouldst expect live
From child unclad,
To babbles’ demise
Beyond level of sad,
Save coherent wise
Who appear to add,
Purpose comprised
Of a raison d’être,
Afore another face
Need not be a fête,
In spell given hand
Occupies life space,
Thus, living the race,
That says you’re alive
Best before final date,
Ye so drag to survive
Find delay grave fate,
May not end so brave
When be made to face,
Despite eke of last steps
You will do so with grace,
The while holds persistent
Be too soon for another face!

I Awake

– should fate so will –

That I awake
Another day,
To live a fate
With little say,
Save to amend
My errant way,
Before the end
Thus to renew,
As to contend
Said life anew,
The while fend
As destine wills,
But a scant stay…

Time tallies still
Tho be few days,
For failing gods
Now dated skills,
Tend fall behind
Too aged to fulfil,
In garbled minds
Verge on placate,
Yet decreed still
Our waning state,
Hence so fate's will!

On The Run

– from here to there –

Getting nowhere
In particular,
Holds baby bare
Not yet articular,
From here to there
Out of the picture,
Be on the run
In quest of a live future!

Blunder, Bar and Bond

– be notions of life -Blunder

Blunder

Plagued we are
By yet another,
Held gone too far
Be trying blunder,
Tho per chance par
There ne’er be other!
Bar

By raising the bar
To reset your goal,
You exceed by far
A weakening hold
That could so mar,
A bid to live whole!
Bond

Incline assume
The gods so tend,
Bonds we groom
May bear a friend,
With they in whom
Affection finds send,
A life ye want to bloom!

“ A Day In A Life ” – to live as tho twice –

“ A Day In A Life ”

         – to live as tho twice –

If I could but live

A day in a life,

Fate chose to give

Be without strife,

One might feel free

To hence display

The whole that I be,

For today I’d not wept

Holds a day of all days

With euphoria I’ve kept,

Fix this day as a guide

So that I now can see,

All my life till I died…

Such a day in a life

Would be held rule,

Thus to fix the way

Would purge redicule,

And learn to let go

As to feel what you see,

Be the birth of it all

Like a bursting of buds,

On a flowering tree

As spring yawns away,

And dawn’s early hours

Sets sight towards May,

To a first summer’s day…

Yet all of the while

You’ve but time

The gods lend,

Hence a day in a life

From beginning to end

You must live as tho twice,

For that may be all

You’d be given of life!

“ A Joy ”

      – imagined –

A joy extant infers

Fate lets attain,

I find imagine

What ought contain,

Stuff be of dreams

Imaging the silken,

Rather than lined

In matters coarse,

Though often times

Joy be dark horse,

To masquerade

Masked as a rose,

In joyless shade,

Wanting but dispose…

Yet be this joy

Illusion’s dope,

Thirsting to enjoy

We live in hope,

Yet sadly fantasize

In musings empty,

Waiting joy incites

A moment of delight

To more than but survive!

“ Sandboxes ”

              – and rainbows –

                              revisited –

Time played us so

Carefree of puerile,

As though forever

We’d live the while,

In wishful rainbows

That so beguiled,

Till hint of shadow

When of a sudden,

We’re cast adrift

Of childhood days,

Denied of sandboxes

Thus to find our way…

Now adult vision

Edges to fashion,

Of chance choices

In unlike passions,

Be soon worn thin

Held best assume,

Find remote whim

Of wearisome spins…

Yet period plagues

With insipid wishes,

And easy daydreams

Of undying rainbows,

In sandbox dwellings!

“ Let Me In ” ~ I want to live ~

Let me in, he pled,

I’m so frightened

And so hungry

I’m near dead,

Thus in a world

Without a stead,

He finds has bled

Away the heart

Of they he’d beg,

A place to start

That he may live,

Among the fated

Who would give,

Tho humble gift

Said kindly deed,

Plied moral lift

That he may seed

Enough for those,

Who needed feed

The debt one feels

To they who chose,

Should let him in

That he may live!

ode to they who chose to let in,

the ravaged by war and terror…

“ Life ” ~ not at any price ~

Life by any means

Tho not at any price,

Thus seizing hope

To live a slower life,

Time hasn’t yet stole,

Believing we can cope

Years of certain toll,

Life will find extort

As barter for a soul,

If to extend one’s life

And render it near whole!

“ Reasons ” ~ but to justify ~

Reasons,

Simple to find

Easy to give,

Reasons of why

So few live,

For be but excuses

Not worth their uses,

As most rate less

Than gossamer ruses,

And far too many

Neath tenable any,

Be worthy of reason

Save want vindicate

Timorous misoneism,

Held beyond reason!
