 Validating
            - an aging mind -

 From apropos
 to ye ought know,
 would that we find
 the how to slow,
 an aging mind...

 Yet far from reign
 these gods that play,
 our heads in game
 be mindless way,
 need feign shame
 from apropos,
 to ye ought know
 afore ‘tis time,
 Too soon will show!

                       A mindful raison d’être...

“ Old Lovers ” – neath layers of bold cover –

Old lovers do know,

Of a love be above

In time would show,

From a simple love

To true love be so,

When it will reveal

Held prone to grow,

Fate did fix it real

Be from its arrival,

Has you beholding

For love yet unreal,

Tho feels beholden

To heart’s appeal,

Save love finds flee

With lover disorder,

As such beings we be

Want to hold forever,

Tho will find to agree

True love’s the beggar,

Said to be for one’s love

The while fail to discover,

Be what tells an old lover

Neath layers of bold cover,

Be love fashioned for others

And what help they’d bestow,

For determined young lovers

Be of love they’ll want know,

Neath layers, of old lovers bold cover!

“ A Poet ” ~ on more than allusions ~

When is a poet

A poet to be,

How will he know

It won’t be free,

To find reveal

What he’s to tell,

Starts on journey

Going thru hell,

Hence be the way

He learns to feel,

Afore he can say

What is real,

Thus to give sway

To worthy notions,

Be want of attention

To issues deserved,

More than allusions

Kept in reserve,

The while he lives

Born of a heart

Which can but give,

To occupy minds

That a poet seeks find!
