“ The Boy ” ~ who wanted to stay ~

There was a boy

Said ever glad,

For animate joy

Save he felt sad,

Its adolesce span

Exacts but a fad,

Be that so it may

Fix boy to be man,

He’d bid afar day

From stripling state,

That inevitable way

To descry adulthood,

Toward destined fate

Binds resolute say,

Held misnomer depth

Of ending youth’s stay,

He’d pursue cheat its death!

“ A Joy ” ~ imagined ~

A joy extant infers
Fate lets attain,
I find imagine
What ought contain,
Stuff be of dreams
Imaging the silken,
Rather than lined
In matters coarse,
Though often times
Joy be dark horse,
To masquerade
Masked as a rose,
In joyless shade,
Wanting not impose…

Yet be this joy
Illusion’s dope,
Thirsting to enjoy
We live in hope,
Yet sadly fantasize
In musings empty,
Waiting joy incites
A moment of delight
To more than but survive!

A memory of a younger man’s, search…

“ Face To Face ” ~ in a crimson place ~

The face

You claim,

Burns now

Palpably lame,

In a scarlet state

Finds suffer blame,

With skin ablaze

Head bows in shame,

Thus so observed

Begs fool indifferent,

Holds look aflame

From face to face

In sun’s day feed,

Be a crimson place

That wants destroy,

Yet gives of life

Save when exceeds,

Man chooses fail to heed!
