“ Stop The World ” ~ I want to get off ~

Stop the world,

I want to get off,

Its lethal whirl

I’ve had enough,

Held toxic while

Man efforts cure,

To anew beguile

Alters not lure,

Or endless excess

Yet denies blame,

Nor will redress

Be damage insane,

He’d ne’er confess

Of liable fed game,

To play you along

Alludes now tame,

For what fits best

On world die-cast,

Man did but infest

Wanted all too fast,

And won’t give rest

Known nothing lasts,

With barely time left!

“ The Search ”~ for a credible man ~

We search for ways

Tho seem in vain,

Yet we’ll holdfast

To end man’s bane,

Would so engage,

Hence find disarm

A darkening rage

In a world insane,

The while ignored

Efforts that contain,

Threats to survival…

Alas beg commit,

Said altruist hand

Be of requisite fit,

Held tenacious bold

Cast in the soul,

Of a credible man!

“ The Mind ” ~ of a voiceless child ~

Looking to hide

In a ravaged crowd,

Where war has him bide

In rag-torn shrouds,

For all that be left

Of this voiceless child,

Be a mind bereft

Feeling cast aside,

In a torturous tide

Of victims’ loud cries,

As dead bodies fall

From gory guns bane

Of spent soldiers insane,

That no longer recall

Were once poets near all,

Now brain-damaged mob

Be creatures caballed

Who follow a broken god,

Said maker of orphans

Who find shelter in rubble,

A place they’d once called home!

                                                                           ode to war orphaned children
