Thumbs Up

      – a gladiators’ Rome –

Held be thumbs up

Meant slaves bade,

A grant of life just

Tho short accolade,

Spares ye as lion sup

Feast so on gladiator,

Or as gladiatrix lust

Would a thumbs down,

Send we to an early grave

Assures one’s final round,

Will realize time’s fated age

Chose whisper of deaths await,

Faint yet by an abjured persuade

As the obscured days of old did rate,

Reminiscent so of a gladiators’ Rome!

          This gesture has its roots,
                          in the days of Caesar,
                                  be then gladiators’ Roma...

” The Crow “

– in the dead of night –

I am the crow

In a grave

Dark world,

A soul in plight

Black as the night,

Forced to live

This endless flight,

Looking for a path

To the freedom I seek,

As anxiety nears

This aging cryptique,

Who’ll suffer hell

Or fly with the devil

For a ray of light,

That shows a way clear

For I the crow,

To end one’s journeys

In the dead of night!

“ The Moment ” ~ an adventure ~

Predictably sure
Be an adventure,
Holds the moment
Brands life’s worth,
To render ones debt
Fated from birth,
As willingly owed
Its requital so holds,
For fixed next abode…

The while one bodes
Time could run out,
Preceding full measure
Of the moment as told,
Tho a trip said life raves
Finds too soon acquitted,
For such an adventure
Whose abode be its grave!

“ I Am The Crow ” ~ in a grave dark world ~

I am the crow

In a grave

Dark world,

A soul in plight

Black as night,

Forced to soar

In a dying light,

On weary wings

And failing sight,

Yet made suffer

Endless flights,

Looking for path

To freedom I seek,

While agony looms

In this wasting meek,

Who’ll suffer hell

Or fly with the devil

For a ray of light,

That shows the way

To end this journey

In the dead of night!

“ The Crow ” ~ in endless flight ~

I am the crow,

In a grave

Dark world,

A soul in plight

Black as the night,

Forced to live

An endless flight,

Looking for a path

To the freedom I seek,

As anxiety nears

This wizened meek,

Who’ll suffer hell

Or fly with the devil

For a ray of light

That shows way clear,

To end one’s journeys

In the dead of night!
