Man’s Façade

– fore to hind –

Persistent mind
On the façade,
Of fore to hind
No pasquinade,
Wouldst define
Nor satire’s aid,
Thus, so in time
Will play a game,
Not feigning blind
Ne’er ye find same,
To suffer a like mind
Nigh as fixated to change,
Tho be born in man’s façade!

                 Ode to they of so-called,
                                nonconformist persuasion...

Whatever Happened

         – to what’s his name –

Listen to audio

Whatever Happened
- to what’s his name -
Tells of a social game,
In whatever happened
Be to what’s his name,
Or view face of whom
As recall slowly came,
Via beacon so illumed
For its curiosity’s aim,
That might’ve implied
See to be but so and so,
May hold a worthy ply
Save ‘tis another trope
Put to what’s his name!
Ode to the face of reality…

 Validating
            - an aging mind -

 From apropos
 to ye ought know,
 would that we find
 the how to slow,
 an aging mind...

 Yet far from reign
 these gods that play,
 our heads in game
 be mindless way,
 need feign shame
 from apropos,
 to ye ought know
 afore ‘tis time,
 Too soon will show!

                       A mindful raison d’être...

“ A Dupery’s Game ”

– of nebulous task –

Though we endure
Time passing fast,
Ne'er to be sure
The while it lasts,
We accept its lure
Without we so ask,
Be less than assured
With time fixed mask,
Holds a dupery‘s game
Cast be of nebulous task!

                                  The gift of unapprised choices...

“ Façades ” – that all seem the same –

Listen to audio

“ Façades ”

– that all seem the same –

You try blind

Façades game,

Front or hind

Seem the same,

As man’s kind

Some be worm,

Wriggle round

In fixed squirm,

Won’t be found

Save you’re firm,

And thus bound

To want uncover,

Man rates exposed

Thru endeavours,

Hence he compose

Of a bent measure,

With baleful mind

He works his game,

Of a greed’s assign

And without shame,

He’ll find time,

To deploy his tricks

Meant keep us blind,

Thus be man’s façades

That all seem the same!

“ The Hat ” – tit for tat –

BW JJ- IMGP0158 2  Listen to audio

“ The Hat ”

– tit for tat –

He wore the hat

To dress his head,

Tho tit for tat

And so with dread,

He wares it now

Hides pilus dead,

Or gone so thin,

It fails be coaxed

To grow back in,

Thus pate regrets

That bushy hair,

Of peacock fame

Beyond repair,

Held chose delimit

Its germinal game,

Evokes sad memory

Of his lamented mane!

“ The Child In Me ” ~ tho but a shade ~

It matters not,

Be but a shade

Of used to be,

He does exist

The child in me…

Many will say

It can’t be he,

For what we see

Is but a hint

Of said once be,

I play their game

Knowing full well

He’s still the same…

Yet more claim

I am for naught,

The child is gone

Tho I think not,

For we remain

One and the same…

I know the child

Yet lives in me,

As so he must

From birth

Until meant day

One turns to dust!
