“ A Dupery’s Game ”

– of nebulous task –

Though we endure
Time passing fast,
Ne'er to be sure
The while it lasts,
We accept its lure
Without we so ask,
Be less than assured
With time fixed mask,
Holds a dupery‘s game
Cast be of nebulous task!

“ The Sound of Silence ”

                             – a blissful pleasure – revisited –

 Ah to be free

Of obstreperous sounds,

Man’s din vociferous

That so abounds,

Ever torturing

An anguished ear

Implied inured,

We’re made to hear

Too far beyond,

Man meant endure…

Oh for the sound

Of deafening stillness,

A resounding calm

Of blissful pleasure,

In the healing balm

Of echoing silence,

You can almost hear

From the quiet whisper

Of a falling tear,

For the sound of silence!

“ While I’m Alive ” ~ teach me now ~

Teach me now

While I’m alive,

To not forget,

When I arrive

At regret’s bide,

And must endure

Spent recollect

Of someone near,

Plus fail to hear

Suffered upset,

While I now limbo

In the unclear,

Of telling ways

By one so dear

Who loved me when,

Wouldst hold until

I am no longer,

And even then!

“ Teach Me How ” ~ to do without ~

The while I live,

Teach me how

To do without,

If life dictates

Blind be my fate,

Ne’er to see you

One more time…

Teach me how

To do without,

If destined so

To suffer deaf

And cannot hear

Tho you be near…

Teach me now

To do without,

Afore I reach

State of forget,

Thus to endure

Held grieved regret,

Thru precious days

I might live yet

So teach me how,

I am to do without!

“ The Dark of Limbo ” ~ begs a morrow ~

I reach for her
Tho well I know
‘Tis but a shadow
I shall find,
I call her name
And hear awash
Its echoed sound
Implying limbo’s tide
Has carried it beyond…

In shades abutting dark
I barely see her face,
As I endure await
An end to limbo’s fate,
Thus beg that morrow
Finds an escape,
Where she may reach
The end of sorrow,
Beyond the dark of limbo!

“ Bonds We Groom ” ~ yet fail find mend ~

I incline to contend

The gods so intend

We’d endure assume,

There’d be an end

To bonds we groom,

With they in whom

Such love might lend,

Live beyond affability

Yet fail we find mend

With true held friend,

Gesture furthermore

With inanimate look,

In lieu of bid to restore!

“ Life ” ~ seems to last but days ~

I might’ve secured

A guiding hand,

Help spare endure

Suffer be damned,

Holding eye blind

Flouting scant time,

Averred be wrong

Stresses my mind,

And likely as long

As fate be inclined,

Till life fades away

I’ll taste of it wise,

As will time I so wrest

From whatever be left,

Of a meagre short stay

Held tallied in years,

Yet seems to last but days!
