The Full Bloom

        – of a catalpa tree –

There’s a catalpa tree,
A very short distance
From where gods be,
Unable to stay away
Rapt so by what I see,
As such beauty ways
On a summer breeze,
The while in full bloom
Will render one at ease,
Thus so we can assume
By its clustered flowers,
Trumpet shapes agreed
Tells of floral splendour,
Whose seeds life decreed
Lay in long pods slender,
Hanging where meant be
Till fate cultivates its need,
For the heart shape enders
Of those o’er gigantic leaves,
That be the life given beauty,
Ornamenting the catalpa tree!

Intent of the floral gods,

“ The Book ”

         – of blank pages –

A book in search

Of giving birth,

To pages blank,

Free of dearth

Hopes but record,

View so composed

Of words in accord,

To author predisposed

Might ease the way,

That dares initiate

A scribe’s want say,

Without hesitate

When he finds a play,

Empty of intimidate

Upon a virgin page,

The while a book awaits

Words chosen to breathe life,

To the uninhabited posed state

Held be the book, of blank pages!

“ In My Mind ” ~ I border on sublime ~

In my mind

I look so grand,

I almost am

You understand,

Tho chance I err

Thus to be safe

Won’t say aloud,

And every mirror

Keep under shroud…

I’m in great shape

My mind believes,

With easy grace

I move with speed,

As I wouldst rate

Hence so at ease…

Thus far  I see

I border on sublime,

Leastwise in my mind!
