“ If Truth Be Told ”~ how then discern ~

If truth be told

I will yet reach,

A vision worthy

Cosmos entreats,

Not bent chicane

Of vitiate deceit,

Yet who’s to say

Man didn’t teach,

The gods sly ways,

Thus so to breach,

How then discern

Of which I speak,

Thus be held truth

Or but failed preach,

Too credible to hold

Tho history has one doubt,

Of man’s hidden truth be told!

this poem was inspired by the poem ‘Truth’

                                written by Xenophanes,

                                              Greek philosopher, theologian and poet.

“ A Place ” ~ in the sun ~

One lives in need

Of a place,

Held be in the sun

For its life giving face,

Tho risks of burn

In sun’s solar run,

We mightn’t discern,

Its perilous pace

Has us suffer pain,

Sparing no place

In spite of the rains,

He’ll find to embrace

Any ones face

Who dares overstay,

For sun, will have its way!

“ Looking ” ~ from inside out ~

Looking

From inside out,

I see a face

Has me in doubt,

Though I know

It’s me inside and out,

I fail discern

This face be so,

As one I’d worn

The many years

Since I was born…

As lines of time

In crags so shape,

Thus bared façade

Conjures adverse,

Allows one see

Life be perverse…

Hence though I gaze

With woeful eyes,

The while I fantasize

At once arresting face,

Now to imagine wise

Mind so disguised

That I should visualize,

Looking from outside in!

“ Amity ” ~ of a kind ~

I look for words

That reach,

To help me find

Amity alter time,

Enough to assign

A brutal world

Grow less unkind…

Words I may find,

Could so discern

Amity of a kind,

Would so touch man

To finally be as one,

Hence to bind a lifetime!
