The Moment

– but a second be –

Ye learn forever
Be but a second,
Tho endeavour
To find extend,
Be the moment
We fix pretend,
In prolong time
Albeit beckons,
To expand clock
Ye gods do lend,
We reckon mock
As would eternal,
Beyond instant
Of kept normal,
As said forever
Held in thought,
Fate opts clever
Set close to lost,
Blink of an eye
Nay to be found,
One day or other
For ye’d be gone,
After the moment
Ne’er meant long,
Those waning days
Fixate a mind to see,
Of set persistent way
Has but the moment be!

for my sister, Pierrette...

Hardly Ever

Hardly Ever

       – close to hereafter –

Tho ye be willing
To bear whatever,
Without doubting
Be gods endeavour,
Thus, but conciliate
Ye fate ain’t forever,
So relieved of debates
It reaches far of tether,
As life’s concealed date
Thence holds hardly ever,
You’d be close to hereafter!

                                       Ode to Edgar Allan Poe,
		                             master of morbidity…

“ While I’m Alive ” ~ in that embrace ~

Before I reach

That lonely place,

Let me reside

While I’m alive,

Close by her side

In that embrace

Of each day’s best,

Which lets me hear

That joyous fest

Of her voice near,

Alluding to be clear

Love will survive,

Until I am no longer!

“ Memory ” ~ of a memory ~

Memory, ah memory

Now cause for woes,

Has turned tormentor

And wretched close,

Alludes suffers bleak

This recall once bold,

As mentor grows weak

While in vain I yet seek

Tho memory goes cold…

Now who’ll replace

This recollect trace,

That I may survive

The far reaching void,

And reason with time

Holds sane my mind,

Though the memory

Of memory once mine,

May well ever be gone!
