Painting A Mind

– shadows dark –

Be hollows stark
Painting a mind,
In shadows dark
To survive time,
Be need of world
Best ne’er blind,
As creatures we
Given short line,
Expecting future
Soon fades offline,
Will want a tutor
For make believe,
Set as fake humans
Be computer achieved,
Save a life’s meagre race
Holds no reason to grieve,
With compos mentis in place
Ye ought find painting a mind
Seeks not dark shadows embrace!

Wanting

        – to know why –

Listen to audio

Wanting

– to know why –

Would it matter,
Wanting
To know why,
If one didn’t
Get an answer,
Having thought
To wonder,
Ought question
Mental wrought,
Find whether
Trouble ought,
Tho no longer
Above water,
While persists
Probe forever,
One considers
Being clever,
Mightn’t ever
Learn reply,
Wanting
To know why,
Best be left
Without an answer!

Not a Cicada’s Kiss

in said tinnitus –

Not a Cicada’s Kiss

– in said tinnitus –

There is a buzz
In said tinnitus,
Unknown cause
To seek litigious,
For forceful kiss
Ye want to leave,
Its incessant hiss
That causes grieve,
Won’t even pause
This vexing sound,
Not a cicada’s kiss
One may’ve found,
In a summer’s bliss...
Be echoes of hell
Aims sibilant feel,
As wouldst a bell
With endless peal,
And thus, can tell
A tintinnabulum,
Of alternate stead
Will find torment,
Ye wretched head,
Tho best decapitate
If one foregoes too late,
Homopteran’s migrates
In guise of a cicada’s kiss,
You’d realize be godless fate!

“ Apostrophizing ” ~ to form a connection ~

We’re held believe,

Life offers beings

A state perceived,

As an apostrophe

Of human needs,

Held best allayed

By transient bond,

Save best ignored

Till they abscond,

Supernumeraries

Of guile abound,

With ignobility

Of such ineptness,

As to apostrophizing

To form a connection,

Holds short imagining

Word worth excogitation!

“ Looking ” ~ to understand ~

Looking

To understand,

Who will demand

Of a wrongful hand,

We have empowered

And thus so entrusted,

To buttress held best

Our collective interest,

As a protector elect,

Without he transgress

His mandated integrity,

For we, the people nation,

Of this, fictional free, land!

“ Getting There ” ~ not when, but how ~

There was a time,

Getting there then,

Be an adventure

Held half the fun,

For easy ‘twas when

Deemed be secure,

With far less care

That now pretends,

Hold standard fare…

Getting there then

Said long ago now,

Offered a man

Its traveler’s best,

Be carriage or scow,

Save else on foot

Was all it took,

When journey held,

Not when, but how!

                                                  ode to travelers, suffering

                                                                  security tribulations!

Writing – need there be reason –

Why do you write

Asked unabashed,

As tho an answer

Other than need,

May even succeed

In shedding light…

Forces be real

I heard my reply,

Helps  touch why

Tho ne’er quite sure

My words truly fly…

What do you write

She offers in spite,

My hazy taunts

Not meant be trite,

I scribble of time

That shadows mine,

To divert attention

If lot whispers of death…

Fate may deny

Time I have left,

So while I’ve breath

And feelings to best,

I’ll write with my soul

Thus wants life bold,

Without reason or why

For as long as I’ll get!
