“ Look At Me ” ~ beneath the surface ~

If you should look

Beneath the surface,

You’ll see likeness

Didst hardly fade,

Despite time past

Held so its shade,

Though failed spare

Held masquerade,

Altering whole

The sum’s façade,

While signs of ware,

Offers but a shadow

Of my enduring soul!

    • Thank you for that, and your reference to Kallista in Greek, meaning inner beauty, and that this coincidentally happens to be one of our cat’s name, make the reference in a way only half right, as it applies to our Kallista for she has both inner and contrary to we humans her exterior beauty will not ever noticeably change. Lucky her I suppose. Jean-Jacques Fournier
