“ A Picture ” ~ worth a thousand words ~

‘Tis often said,

A picture’s worth

A thousand words,

Thus so I ask

How many blurs

To satisfy an alibi,

That so spurs

But subjugated lies,

Proficiently told

Leaves no surprise,

Be composed so bold

Of a thousand lies,

Worth not a single word!

    • Thank you for your welcome comment. Most if not all writers, especially those who dare express their thoughts and emotions thru poetry, hungrily feed on the reassurance of positive encouragement. Happy to read that both “A Picture” & “The Place” poems gave you pleasure enough to say so. JJF

  2. I enjoy you because of each of your hard work on this web site. One learns a lot through the lively method you create, both useful and interesting contributions. Take advantage of the rest of the new year. You have been performing a pretty cool job.

    • My research comes from living and experiencing life, as well as being an interested observer of all that populates my world the consequent effects, good, bad, as in positively, or adversely, that so shapes who we are… ergo ultimately expressing my reactions thru the poetry I write. Therefore your response is such a consequent effect, the kind for which I am indeed thankful. Thus I thank you for taking the time and am grateful for your interest, especially as it refers particularly to the poem “The Picture”~ worth a thousand words ~.
